Description

The present set-up is designed to study the heat transfer in parallel and counter flow in concentric tube heat exchanger. Hot water flows through inner tube, coldwater flows through the outer tubes and can be operated in parallel or counter mode with respect to hot water. For hot water, a recirculating type water bath having PID temperature controller and a magnetic pump is provided. Cold water at constant head condition is to be provided from laboratory overhead tank. The flow rates are measured using Rotameters. The temperature of hot and cold fluids at inlet and outlet of heat exchanger can be measured by Digital Temperature Indicator.

Digital Temp. Controller : PID Controller, 0-199.9°C (For Hot Water Tank) Digital Temp.

Indicator : 0-199.9°C, with multi-channel switch

Non Contact type. With Standard make On/Off switch, Mains Indicator etc.
  • An ENGLISH instruction manual consisting of experimental procedures, block diagram etc. will be provided along with the Apparatus.
  • The whole set-up is well designed and arranged on a rigid structure painted with industrial PU Paint.

•Electricity Supply: 1 Phase, 220 V AC, 50 Hz, 32 amp MCB with earth connection (Earth voltage should be less than 5 volts)

•Floor area: 2 m x 0.6m
